The rain came, as predicted, but the Rubber City Rhinos and Maple Marauders were able to complete their ballgame.

Rubber City Rhinos starter James Thompson was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Maple Marauders, 3-1. Shinzo Sasaki got the save, his 33rd in 39 chances.

Billy Joel, who is rated as the 72nd best prospect by BNN, aided the Rubber City cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 4.

Joel called the win "a collective effort."
