LF Cadenhead Lights Up Republic for 5 RBIs as Marauders Tie R4
|
The Maple Marauders and the So Cal Republic will take the ABL World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Marauders beat the Republic 7-3 at Legends Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Maple left fielder Anthony Cadenhead was named player of the game in the win after he was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5.
Jorge Zamora, who is a three-time All-Star, aided the Maple cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman was 1-3 with a walk. He scored 2 times.
"Winning is contagious," said Cadenhead. "We're looking forward to the next game."
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Tanner Johnson for So Cal and Ze-dong Zhang for Maple.
