In a pivotal Game 5, the Wichita Wolverines were hoping for a big game from starter Luis Hernández. They got one.

The right-hander shut out the Pacifica Shamrocks, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 4-0 victory. The Wolverines took the 4-0 win over the Pacifica Shamrocks to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The Wolverines liked what they saw from Hernández. The 22-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Shamrocks to no earned runs on 5 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 5.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Hernández.

The next game is set to be played Saturday. The scheduled starters for the game are Carlos Muńóz for Wichita and Owen Kay for Pacifica.
