Quebec Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
|
The Quebec Armada have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Maple Marauders, winning 4-3 at Lucky 7 Ballpark today. Armada left-hander Adhipa Vemireddy was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Armada to 2-1 in the best-of-7 League Pennant.
In the bottom of the seventh, Quebec first baseman Javier Trujillo had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Trujillo stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 4-1, Quebec. For the game, he was 1 for 4.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Vemireddy.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow at Lucky 7 Ballpark in Quebec City. Slated to start are Ze-dong Zhang for Maple and Morgan Tyson for Quebec.
