With right-hander Luis García leading the charge, the Albuquerque Cacti got past the Fairfield Flash, 4-3, in extra innings in Game 2 of the Triple A League Championship today. García threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball at Durham Bulls Athletic Park as Albuquerque managed to take to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Scotti Scannell's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a cutter from Alex Gutierrez for a run-scoring double. It put Albuquerque in front, 4-3.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Fairfield manager Gary Altman.

The next game is set to be played Friday at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Félix Ruíz for the Fairfield Flash and Ron Callaghan for the the Albuquerque Cacti.
