Dallas Takes Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
Their bats were silent and Dallas had a rookie on the mound. No problem.

On a day when the Texans struggled to string together much offense, the club got a big boost from 24-year-old starter Scott Boorman. The right-hander quieted the So Cal Republic at Metroplex Park to help Dallas take the 3-2 decision and seize a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Championship.

Tsunayoshi Ito swatted a 2-run home run for Dallas in the bottom of the fourth. The left fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Dallas manager Anastasio Ojeda.

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow in Dallas. Slated to start are Phoenix Smith for So Cal and Dan Edwards for Dallas.
