Pirates, Rubert Pin Bad Loss on Grognards
The Paradise Island Pirates defeated the St. Paul Grognards, 10-2, in Cecil Fielder League action at Predator Park, with Paradise Island designated hitter Edwin Rubert named player of the game. Even with the win, the Pirates have a dismal 24-45 record.

Rubert had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Pirates went on to win.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Rubert.
