The Sedona Sabercats beat the Lumber Kings, 13-1, at The Lair at Sabercat Field. Sedona left fielder Bill St.john earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Sedona starter Gareth King was credited with the win after throwing 121 pitches over 9 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The Sabercats bumped their record to 41-29 with this latest triumph.

St.john had a big at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Sabercats went on to win.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Sedona manager Edgardo Bautista.
