The Sedona Sabercats got a sterling performance from left fielder Bill St.john, but the Totems still prevailed, 6-5. St.john was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Victoria reliever Barney Archer picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Sergio Solis took the loss. Victoria, at 36-30, sits in third place in the Cecil Fielder League Fred McGriff Division.

In the bottom of the 6th, third baseman Justin Goldstein gave Victoria the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Totems had been trailing 4-3, but the two-out home run off Sedona pitcher Sergio Solis changed that -- and Victoria went on to win.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Goldstein, "but we really needed that win."
