Paradise Island center fielder Steve Pyles was instrumental in his team's 4-2 win over the Rosewell Tribbles. Pyles went 3-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Pirates. Paradise Island reliever Jalen Mitchelle picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Marvin Duffy took the loss. Domingo Rueda was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 12 save opportunities.

The Pirates got a big at-bat from second baseman Wade Szarek. For the game, Szarek was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 61st hit of the season gave Paradise Island a 2-0 lead.

"It was a good effort all around," said Pyles.
