Bombers Lose, 2-1, at Predator Park
The Panana City Bombers wasted an inspired, 5-inning effort from starter Miguel Ramirez, falling 2-1 to the Paradise Island Pirates at Predator Park. Paradise Island reliever Aaron Arnett got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Miguel Ramirez was tagged with the loss. Even with the win, the Pirates have a dismal 21-43 record.

The Pirates got a big at-bat from shortstop Gordon Lafontaine. For the game, Lafontaine went 2-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 30th hit of the season gave Paradise Island a 2-1 lead.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Panana City skipper Gustavo Ruíz, "and it cost us."
