Late Rally by Pirates Secures Win
The Paradise Island Pirates beat the Panana City Bombers, 4-3, at Predator Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Juan Placencia, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. Paradise Island reliever Domingo Rueda picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-2. Jalen DePass was collared with the loss. Even with the win, the Pirates have a dismal 20-42 record.

Manny de la Cruz was the walk-off hero for Paradise Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pirates first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," de la Cruz said.
