The Montreal Cardinals took Victoria pitcher Rafael Campos's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Denis Coderre Stadium. The final score had Montreal getting past the Totems, 4-3. Campos went 7.1 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 6. Montreal occupies second place in the Cecil Fielder League Otto Velez Division at 35-27.

The Cardinals got a big at-bat from designated hitter Toshiharu Kaneshiro. For the game, Kaneshiro was 1-4 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Montreal a 4-3 lead.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Kaneshiro.
