Cardinals Come Up Short at Sedona
Sedona beat Montreal at The Lair at Sabercat Field, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Ian Portz, who earned player of the game honors. Portz, now 7-1, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 3 earned runs. Mike Foust earned save number 6.

Making an impact for the home team was Dong-woo Lee. In the bottom of the sixth, the 21-year old shortstop had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 5-3, Sabercats.

"We did enough to win," said Lee.

With the win over Montreal, the Sabercats improved to 34-25.
