Tribbles Win in Glorious Fashion
|
Tribbles catcher Juan Martínez put his stamp on his team's 6-5 win over the Victoria Totems. Martínez was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Rosewell in the contest. Rosewell reliever Mark Luoto picked up the win to move to 3-2. Ryan Merrill suffered the loss. The Tribbles bumped their record to 33-25 with this latest triumph.
Martínez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-2 slider from Ryan Merrill, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Tribbles a 6-5 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Martínez.
"This wasn't a good win," said Martínez. "It was a great win."
