Big Day by Corkum Sparks Storm Win
The Wichita Storm beat the Paradise Island Pirates, 9-1, at Predator Park. Wichita catcher Reilly Corkum earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Garth Bankston got credit for the win, improving to 7-2. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 7 innings. The first-place Storm have a one-game lead in their division.

Mario Rios, who is tied for 6th in the CFL in stolen bases with 11, aided the Wichita cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the third baseman went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"I thought we played a nice game," Corkum told the Wichita Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
