Storm Lose, 5-4, at The Nutcracker Suite

The Normal Nutcrackers did just enough to sneak past the Wichita Storm, 5-4, at The Nutcracker Suite. Normal catcher Jim Unknown earned player of the game honors. David Vince earned the save, his 13th, for the Nutcrackers. The Nutcrackers improve their record to 26-27 with the win over Wichita.
In the bottom of the 6th, shortstop Andrew Leibowitz gave Normal the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Nutcrackers had been trailing 4-3, but the two-out home run off Wichita pitcher Justin Keling changed that -- and Normal went on to win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Leibowitz. "And not try to do too much."
