Montreal right-hander Franklin Liz helped his team edge Rosewell by the score of 3-2. Liz kept the opposing lineup in check. Pete Murphy picked up the save for Montreal, his 16th of the year. The Cardinals bumped their record to 29-23 with this latest triumph.

Liz was in the zone all game. He frustrated Rosewell hitters while giving the Cardinals 8 innings of quality work. Liz threw 110 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 3 punchouts.
