Pirates first baseman Tokio Yamaguchi put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Normal Nutcrackers. Yamaguchi went 2-2 with 2 singles for Paradise Island in the contest. Paradise Island reliever Masahide Buchanan picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Cedric Gold was saddled with the loss. Domingo Rueda earned save number 4.

In the top of the 6th, first baseman Jaden Bryant gave Paradise Island the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Pirates had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out home run off Normal pitcher Cedric Gold changed that -- and Paradise Island went on to win.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Yamaguchi told the Paradise Island Bulletin.
