Grognards Roll to 8-2 Win Over Varmits
|
The St. Paul Grognards relied on the hitting of center fielder Curt Sweet to stop the Yuma Varmits, 8-2. For the game, Sweet was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Bobby Wallace got the win, improving to 2-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 0.
