Tribbles Prevail, 3-1, Over St. Paul
|
The game between Rosewell and St. Paul is in the books, despite a little rain.
The inspired effort of St. Paul left fielder Chris Pruitt was not enough to prevent a 3-1 loss to the Rosewell Tribbles. Pruitt went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. The winner was Junior Castillo in relief. His record improves to 4-2. George McCurry took the loss.
St. Paul had the bases empty in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Brett Ferrell came to bat, hoping to do some damage. Instead, he struck out. The score remained 3-1, Rosewell. The Grognards saw their comeback bid fail.
The Tribbles bumped their record to 28-21 with this latest triumph.
