Paradise Island Pirates starter Iwane Kanda was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Lumber Kings, 4-3. Josh Crowe picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Jose Ramirez was tagged with the loss. Domingo Rueda earned the save, his 3rd.
Jaden Bryant aided the Paradise Island cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Kanda said.
Even with the win, the Pirates have a dismal 15-34 record.
