Conditions were not ideal but Sedona and The Stinging were able to put their game in the books.
Sedona starter Ruben Fernandez pitched effectively against the The Stinging Larvae at The Lair at Sabercat Field. The right-hander led his team to a 5-4 win. The Sabercats bumped their record to 28-20 with this latest triumph.
Bill St.john was the walk-off hero for Sedona. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sabercats designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"It feels good to get this one," Fernandez told the Sedona Today.
