The Paradise Island Pirates got a sterling performance from first baseman Tokio Yamaguchi, but the Totems still prevailed, 3-2. Yamaguchi was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 1-2 with a double and 2 walks. The Totems bumped their record to 26-18 with this latest triumph.

Justin Goldstein drew 1 walk for Victoria. The 20-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jalen Mitchelle. It was his 8th RBI of the season.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Paradise Island manager Tsurayuki Inoue.
