Tribbles Get Past Yuma for 9-8 Win
With second baseman Juan Quevedo leading the charge, the Rosewell Tribbles defeated the Yuma Varmits, 9-8, at Classified Field. Quevedo, who is tied for 7th in the CFL with a .424 on-base percentage, was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The third-place Tribbles have won 4 straight games.

Willie Lorenzo drove in one run for Rosewell. The 21-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 8-8 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Chris Wilson. It was his 64th RBI of the season.

Lorenzo told a Rosewell Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
