Bombers Prevail, 3-1, Over Rosewell
|
The Panana City Bombers faced a tough opponent in Rosewell pitcher Marvin Duffy, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Classified Field by a final score of 3-1. Duffy went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Ryan Nichols earned the win for Panana City. He lasted 5 innings, allowing no earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 1-2. The Bombers bumped their record to 22-19 with this latest triumph.
Wes Coren aided the Panana City cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. For the game, the pinch hitter drove in one run.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Coren.
