The exploits of left fielder Seito Yokoyama, who is tied for 8th in the CFL in bases on balls with 18, helped the Wichita Storm defeat the Montreal Cardinals, 12-1. Yokoyama was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Wichita reliever Sam Young picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Oscar Cruz took the loss. The Storm bumped their record to 25-18 with this latest triumph.

Early in the game, Yokoyama had a 2-run home run for Wichita. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Storm on top, 2-0.

"We'll savor this win," Yokoyama told the Wichita Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
