Tribbles Come Back Late to Top Larvae
|
The Rosewell Tribbles defeated the The Stinging Larvae, 5-3, at The Queen today. Leading the charge for Rosewell was designated hitter Willie Lorenzo. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner was Rosewell reliever Junior Castillo, now 3-2. The loser was Bob Campos. Rosewell has now won 3 in a row.
Lorenzo had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch sinker from Bob Campos, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the Tribbles a 4-3 lead. It was the 43rd hit of the year for Lorenzo.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Lorenzo.
