Fans who came to Royal Athletic Park watched the Lumber Kings and the Victoria Totems fight to the finish.

The Lumber Kings faced a tough opponent in Victoria pitcher Barney Archer, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Royal Athletic Park by a final score of 3-2. Archer went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Vito Herrera picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed no earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 0. On the season, he is now 3-3.

Ramiro Castro aided the Lumber cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles.

"We found a way to get it done," Castro said.

Even with the win, the Kings have a dismal 10-30 record.
