The Yuma Varmits topped the Panana City Bombers by the score of 10-6, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Adam Champagne. Champagne hit 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times for the Varmits. Yuma reliever Jose Montalvo picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-3. Dwight Newson was collared with the loss. The Varmits bumped their record to 21-19 with this latest triumph.

The Varmits got a big at-bat from center fielder Victor Diaz. For the game, Diaz went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the tenth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Yuma a 8-6 lead.

"We got the victory," said Champagne. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
