Cardinals Come Back Late to Top Nutcrackers
In a close game at The Nutcracker Suite, the Montreal Cardinals edged the Normal Nutcrackers, 4-3. Montreal first baseman Toshiharu Kaneshiro earned the nod as player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Montreal reliever Chris Rollin picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-1. Jack Mainjer was collared with the loss. The Cardinals have an impressive 23-13 record.

Kaneshiro had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Jack Mainjer, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Cardinals a 4-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Kaneshiro.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Kaneshiro.
