Getting a good performance from second baseman Wade Szarek, the Paradise Island Pirates defeated the St. Paul Grognards, 8-3. Szarek was 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Pirates. The winner was Josh Crowe in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Larry Reddin took the loss.
