|
The New York Mafia defeated the Brooklyn Black Knights, 7-3, at Blue Ivy Stadium. New York center fielder Jonathan Reynaud was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With the win, the Mafia improved to 34-63.
The Mafia got a big at-bat from catcher Ricardo Corte. For the game, Corte was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 10th home run of the season gave New York a 4-0 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Reynaud said after the game.
