Grognards Fall to .500 After Loss to Sabercats
|
The St. Paul Grognards and Sedona Sabercats brought some excitement to The Thunderdome.
Sedona pitcher Danny Morales did his part in helping his team beat the St. Paul Grognards, 6-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Morales, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 5, and allowing 2 earned runs.
Andy Cote aided the Sedona cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the first baseman was 2-5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Morales told the Sedona Today.
The 4th-place Grognards have lost 6 consecutive games.
