Pitcher Sam Young was sensational for the Wichita Storm in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Paradise Island Pirates. Young received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Yutaka Sasaki picked up the save for Wichita, his 4th of the year. Wichita now has a 3-game win streak.

Early in the game, second baseman Raymond Spurrell had a run-scoring triple for Wichita. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Storm on top, 2-1.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Paradise Island manager Tsurayuki Inoue.
