Nutcrackers Top Storm to Even Record

The Normal Nutcrackers trumped the Wichita Storm, 7-5, at The Nutcracker Suite. Normal shortstop Paul Seibold was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. David Vince earned save number 6. Normal has now won 3 in a row.
The Nutcrackers got a big at-bat from center fielder Augusto Cavazos. For the game, Cavazos went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Normal a 2-0 lead.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Seibold.
