Nutcrackers Walk It Off for 10th Win of Season
The Wichita Storm got a sterling performance from pitcher Alex Acevedo, but the Nutcrackers still prevailed, 3-2. Acevedo was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Normal occupies 4th place in the Cecil Fielder League Fred McGriff Division at 10-11.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Normal trailing 2-0, Jamie DeWoody hit a fastball from Yutaka Sasaki to left for a 3-run home run. Just like that, the Nutcrackers had a walk-off win.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Wichita skipper Chance Jackson.
