The Paradise Island Pirates walked off with a big win today at Predator Park.

Robert Cabral helped his team muscle past the Normal Nutcrackers, 5-4. In the game, the Paradise Island designated hitter hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winner was Paradise Island reliever Domingo Rueda, now 1-0. The loser was David Vince.

Cabral had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-1 fastball from David Vince, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Pirates a 5-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Cabral.

"We'll savor this win," Cabral told the Paradise Island Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."

The Pirates, now at 3-16, know that wins in January count the same as wins in September.
