The Stinging beat Sedona on the strength of starter Tom Cline's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Vince Johnson nailed down his 2nd save. The Stinging is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 4th win in 14 games.

Had Dave Alejo not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Alejo hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Larvae.

Alejo attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
