Takano Lifts Pirates to 8-2 Win
A nice crowd turned out to see the Paradise Island Pirates and Lumber Kings clash at Epic Park.

Getting a good performance from third baseman Satomi Takano, the Paradise Island Pirates defeated the Lumber Kings, 8-2. Takano was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Pirates. Even with the win, the Pirates have a dismal 2-13 record.

Takano had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Pirates went on to win.

"We had a nice day," said Paradise Island skipper Tsurayuki Inoue.
