Loss Extends Paradise Island Losing Streak
Paradise Island got a terrific performance from first baseman Jaden Bryant, but it wasn't enough to beat the Victoria Totems. Victoria won the Predator Park contest, 4-1. Bryant was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double. Victoria reliever Lodewijk van de Wetering was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Norbert Philips. Victoria, now 8-5, has played well in the early going.

The Totems got a big at-bat from shortstop Cesar Lopez. For the game, Lopez was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 15th hit of the season gave Victoria a 2-0 lead.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Tsurayuki Inoue.
