Cardinals Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Wichita
|
The Montreal Cardinals picked up a win at The Storm Center, knocking off the Wichita Storm, 6-2. Starting pitcher Franklin Liz, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Losses have been few and far between for the Storm so far this season. Their record drops to 8-2.
Gene Reilley, who was drafted in the two round of the 2032 draft, chipped in for Montreal with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Enjoyed this one," Reilley told the Montreal Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
