Despite a great performance by Montreal left fielder Scott Corkum, the Wichita Storm defeated the Cardinals by the score of 3-2 at The Storm Center. Corkum went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Storm keep rolling, raising their record to 8-1.
Wichita took a 3-2 lead on Adrian Jimenez's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Jimenez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montreal pitcher Marcos Hernández shaking his head.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Wichita manager Chance Jackson.
