Bombers Win at Yuma, 5-1
|
Panana City Bombers starter Aaron Prine was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Yuma Varmits, 5-1. Prine, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. Jalen DePass got the save, the 5th for him this season.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from right fielder Juan Arocha. For the game, Arocha was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 9th hit of the season gave Panana City a 3-1 lead.
Prine told a Panana City Daily reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
The Bombers keep rolling, raising their record to 5-2.
