|
The Panana City Bombers defeated the The Stinging Larvae, 7-6, in Cecil Fielder League action at The Queen, with Panana City designated hitter Carlos Gonzalez named player of the game. Miguel Ramirez got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 11 hits and 6 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Jalen DePass earned save number 4.
Panana City relied on the hitting of Mario Marroquín to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Bombers on top, 7-3. For the game, Marroquín had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Gonzalez said.
