Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Victor Torres, the Victoria Totems defeated the Yuma Varmits, 4-3. Torres was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Totems. Victoria reliever Ryan Merrill picked up the win to move to 1-0. Jose Montalvo suffered the loss. The Totems, now 2-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
