Victoria Totems starter David Pena was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Sedona Sabercats, 6-3. The save was credited to Ryan Merrill, his 1st. With the win, Victoria boosts its record to 1-1.

In the top of the sixth inning, catcher Robert Gartz came through big-time for the Totems. With Victoria leading 1-0, he belted a 2-run home run.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Pena told the Victoria Bulletin.
