Fighting Camels Clip Cyclones in Tight Contest

The Framingham Fighting Camels did just enough to sneak past the Brooklyn Cyclones, 3-2, at Vin Scully Park. Framingham pitcher Vicente Banderas earned player of the game honors. Brooklyn's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The Fighting Camels got a big at-bat from first baseman Eddy Salas. For the game, Salas went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the eighth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 20th hit of the season gave Framingham a 3-1 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Framingham manager Kiyomori Shimizu. "It's usually not just one thing."
