Fighting Iguanas Prevail, 4-2, Over Rockville
|
Fans who gathered at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium saw a good contest between the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas and Rockville Rangers.
Boca Raton starter Lazaro Flores had a strong outing against the Rockville Rangers at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Flores picked up the win for Boca Raton, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Jim Unknown notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Jordan Vargas aided the Boca Raton cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth. For the game, the first baseman was 2-5 with 2 singles.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Vargas said.
The Fighting Iguanas are now 32-37, while the Rangers fall to 55-14.
