Suenos Win at Caribbean, 2-1

The Caribbean Commies and Santa Barbara Suenos provided some drama at Castro Field.
Santa Barbara Suenos starter Jose Rios was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Caribbean Commies, 2-1. Jeff Pardee notched his 8th save in 8 chances.
The Suenos got a big at-bat from catcher Enrique Guerrero. For the game, Guerrero went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the top of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 34th hit of the season gave Santa Barbara a 1-0 lead.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rios said.
Santa Barbara is now riding a 3-game win streak.
